Michael H. Brisman, M.D., the chief executive offi cer of Rockville Centre-based Neurological
Surgery, P.C. (NSPC), has long been a leader in both his profession and in the Long Island
community. Under his leadership, NSPC has grown to become one of the largest, private neurosurgical

groups in the U.S.
Board certifi ed by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and a Fellow of the American
College of Surgeons, Dr. Brisman has specialized in the treatment of Trigeminal Neuralgia and
Brain Tumors. He obtained his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons
in New York City. He completed his neurosurgery internship and residency at the Mount
Sinai Medical Center, also in New York City.
Dr. Brisman served as the Co-Medical Director of the Long Island Gamma Knife Center at
Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside and has served as the Chief of Neurosurgery at
NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola. In addition, he has been the President of both the Nassau
County Medical Society and the New York State Neurosurgical Society.
When he’s not addressing the needs of his patients, Dr. Brisman champions legislation to
make our healthcare system more effective, mentors students, and spends time with his extended
family on Long Island where he resides.
