Calvin Thomas has been serving as President of PostNet. Born in Tennessee in 1970, Thomas
was raised by a single mother, Sandra Thomas. At 2, Thomas was moved to Washington
Heights, NYC. Fighting the struggle of poverty, there he attended P.S. 128, J.H.S. 141, and
J.F.K. H. S. Thomas’ mother inspired his strong ethic with her perseverance and achievements
receiving her B.A. degree while working and caring for him at the same time.
At 12, Thomas started his fi rst job working at a local C-Town supermarket. By 14, he was
cleaning parks in the summer months and at 16Thomas worked at Roy Rogers in Manhattan
on 46th Street and Fifth Avenue. Working 40hours per week while going to highschool was
not an easy task, though Thomas knew he had to help his mother make ends meet. By 18,
Thomas worked three jobs at the same time and completed his degree at New York City Technical

College.
At 20, Thomas was recruited by the NYPD and became a NYC Police Offi cer at the 48th Precinct
in the Bronx. Thomas patrolled the streets of the Bronx from 1991to 2011, six of those
years were in the anti-crime unit.
Upon retirement from the NYPD, Thomas opened his fi rst PostNet franchise providing small
businesses and consumers with high-quality printing and shipping solutions. His success
encouraged him to open a second, a third, and then a fourth franchise in just a few years. All
franchises are located in the Bronx so that he can give back to his community.
