Marigold Castillo, MD, at MD1CARE - Gold Pediatrics is a resident and go to neighborhood
physician in Bayside. Known as “Dr. Gold” at Northwell’s Cohen Children’s Medical Center
and to many of her patients and staff, she offers a variety of child-focused medical services,
including specialized care for adolescent eating disorders and adolescent gynecology. She
is certifi ed by the American Board of Pediatrics and is an active member of the Society for
Adolescent Health and Medicine, in addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of
Pediatrics.
After receiving her undergraduate education from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada,
Dr. Gold earned her medical degree with highest honors from Ross University School of Medicine
in Miramar, Florida. She completed her postdoctoral training in adolescent medicine at
North Shore-LIJ Health System, and her training in pediatrics at Brookdale University Hospital
in Brooklyn.
Dr. Gold is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell
and an attending physician at Northwell Health’s Cohen Children’s Medical Center in the
pediatric residency and adolescent medicine divisions. She is also affi liated with New York
Presbyterian Queens in Flushing, New York. Dr. Gold served as a contractor-medical offi cer in
the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and worked with the Nassau and New York City
school-based health centers as a school physician. Some of the schools she worked with are
John Adams and Franklin K Lane high schools, MS53 Brian Piccolo in Far Rockaway, and the
Sewanhaka School District in Nassau County.
