Dr. Samantha Landau has been serving as a resident physician at Metropolitan Hospital
Center where she has also been serving as the chief resident of her program. Dr. Landau was
greatly infl uenced and followed her father, Dr. Laurence Landau and stepmother, Dr. Corrine
Renne Landau’s, footsteps of medicine.
She went to undergraduate university at SUNY Geneseo in Western New York where she
achieved a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with two minors in Biology and
Chemistry. From there, she went on to medical school at the New York College of Podiatric
Medicine in Manhattan where she was enrolled in a dual degree program with Icahn School of
Medicine at Mt. Sinai and achieved a Master of Public Health degree specializing in Healthcare
Management, in addition to her medical degree at the same time.
Recently, Dr. Landau was published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery scientifi c journal
in March 2020for original research. During the COVID-19pandemic, she worked in the ICU
alongside with other frontline healthcare physicians addressing the pandemic head-on. She
was involved in IRB approval to begin research in how COVID-19affected the podiatry patient
population.
She was a board member of the King’s Division for the New York State Podiatric Medical Association
to help advance her profession politically. Throughout residency, Dr. Landau continued
to take advantage of the academic opportunities by conducting lectures and workshops
for students. Working in the inner-city hospitals allowed her the opportunities to treat diverse
pathological conditions of the foot and ankle.
