Jennifer Blatus has been serving as a media strategist with extensive experience in policy and
strategic communications for Stu Loeser & Co.
In 2011, Blatus graduated from the College of Mount Saint Vincent with degrees in History
and Communications. During her time at CMSV, she worked as a journalist for the Riverdale
Review and Bronx Press weekly newspaper group. Prior to joining Stu Loeser & Co., Blatus
worked to successfully flip NY-11 for Congressman Max Rose as his communications
director.
In 2017, she attended WeLead at American University, a bipartisan leadership training
program run by the Women & Politics Institute, which looks to increase the number of women
working in politics and running for office.
Last year, Blatus was the New York State communications director for Mayor Michael
Bloomberg’s Presidential campaign. She has also served as the communications director
for Bronx City Council Member Andrew Cohen and later as a spokesperson for several
city and state campaigns, nonprofit organizations, and New York-based unions while the
communications director for The Advance Group, a political consulting group based in
Manhattan. A proud Bronxite, Blatus started her career working for the Bronx Tourism Council
and Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
Today, Jennifer has been working to uplift women in politics, serving as the communication
director for Assemblywoman Nathalia Fernández’s historic campaign for Bronx Borough
President and Tali Farhadian Weinstein’s campaign for Manhattan District Attorney.
Blatus was inducted into the 2019 class of City & State NY’s 40 Under 40 Rising Stars and
currently resides in Woodlawn with her fiancé, Michael, and dog King Louie.
