AMANDA
TALTY
PRESIDENT AND CEO
TOURETTE ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA
Amanda Talty has been serving as President and CEO of the Tourette Association of
America (TAA). Under her leadership, Talty has championed the development of programs
and initiatives that have reduced organizational deficit by $1.3 million and increased
fundraising revenue by 42%. As a result of her commitment to the individuals, families
and supporting members of the Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorder community, Talty has
played a tremendous role in helping the Association navigate new revenue streams through
development of strategic priorities and partnerships that ensure the success and sustainability
of the organization.
Talty has continued to work extensively with national staff and volunteers in implementing
new assessments and metric based protocols that can further demonstrate organizational
impact. Under her leadership, she launched the pilot Chapter structure to provide local
chapter boards with the support needed to deliver consistent and efficient services to their
community, the development of a robust volunteer training program, and a renewed focus to
cohorts that serve underserved populations, including the adult TS community and elevating
diversity and inclusion efforts nationally.
Prior to her appointment as President and CEO in 2018, Talty served the organization for
two years spearheading development, marketing, and chapter relations initiatives. She was
responsible for the implementation and development of a fundraising program which attracted
new industry partnerships and led to double digit year-over-year increases in revenues as well
as improved ratings on GuideStar and Charity Navigator.
Talty has brought almost 20 years of experience to the nonprofit sector developing and
implementing strategic programs designed to spark organizational growth and sustainability.
