Dan Padernacht, Esq. has been serving as an attorney at Padernacht Law P. C. and was born
and raised in the Bronx. Padernacht earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Fairfi eld
University and a Juris Doctor from the UIC John Marshall Law School. After law school, he
opened a law practice in his own neighborhood of Van Cortlandt Village.
Padernacht has been a local attorney who counsels individuals on the purchase and sale of
their homes, business formations and other personal matters.
Padernacht is in his 12th year serving as a member of Bronx Community Board 8, where in
2014��he was elected and served as Chair for three years. He is currently Chair of the Traffi c
and Transportation Committee, Vice Chair of the Land Use Committee, and has served on
several additional committees, including the Aging, Executive, Housing, Law Rules & Ethics,
Public Safety, and the Hudson River Greenway Committees, which he created when Chair of
the Board.
Padernacht served on the Croton Filtration Monitoring Committee, a statutorily created body
comprised of the Bronx Borough President, 11th District Council Member, DEP, the NYC
Parks Department and the Chairs of Community Boards 7, 8��and 12.
Padernacht has taught students the basics of law and civics at his alma mater, P.S. 95, where
he has contributed his experience as a seasoned a in the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition.
Padernacht is presently running for City Council in the Northwest Bronx where he seeks to expand
his role in public service.
