Kevin Alicea has been serving as the owner of Havana Café��— East Tremont, and Principal of
Havana Cafe��— Castle Hill, Havana Express and Havana Catering Services.
Alicea was born in the Bronx and raised in nearby Rockland County. He returned to the Bronx
in 1997��after college and began his career in the hospitality industry. He is a board member
of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
With the Havana Group he is proud to work closely with numerous Bronx institutions such as
the Bronx Borough President’s offi ce, BOEDC, The Bronx Tourism Council, and the New York
Botanical Gardens, to name a few. Most recently Havana Catering has begun working with
several Bronx-based nonprofi t organizations providing food service for the homeless.
Alicea received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany and
a dual Master’s degree from Mercy College, in Dobbs Ferry N. Y.
He has over 20��years experience in the food and beverage industry. After working in Manhattan
for over a decade, he was inspired to bring his experience and passion for the hospitality
industry to his borough, the Bronx. He opened Havana Cafe in 2010��at the East Tremont location.
Since 2010, with the help of his partners, Troy Perez and Ruben Rodriguez, the Havana
brand has grown to include numerous sister brands and locations which currently provide
over 120��jobs and all in the Bronx.
A proud family man, Alicea lives with his wife Linnette and two sons Evan, 11, and Aiden, 6.
