Kristine Liggio has been serving as the Executive Director for the Center for Automotive
Education and Training (CAET) for over 13 years. In this position, Liggio has had the
responsibility of building the business from the ground up, including overall project
management, budgeting, personnel administration, OSHA regulations, and all aspects of
event management.
Earlier in her career, Liggio worked as an independent consultant in the event business
throughout the United States and Europe. She graduated with an MBA in Finance and a BS in
Marketing from St. John’s University. She currently resides in Forest Hills and is an avid world
traveler.
CAET has been a 28 million dollar corporate event center with 95,000 square feet of indoor
space owned by the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association. It has also become a
central hub for the automobile industry to hold education programs representing all aspects of
the business. Liggio has over 20 years of experience, and has also been serving as a Certified
Meeting Planner who has brought with her an extensive amount of event management and
marketing skills.
Liggio’s abilities as a professional grant writer helped advance the company’s commitment to
being green by securing a $650,000 grant from NYSERDA for a full solar power system. Over
the life of the project, CAET has generated 338,900 KwH in electricity which has reduced its
carbon footprint by over 425,000 pounds of CO2.
CAET has been an integral part of the local community offering executive corporate meeting
space to local business, as well as being featured in many film productions.
