Ramon J. Rodriguez is the President and CEO of Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. The Wyckoff
Heights Medical Center is a 324-bed teaching hospital. It is an academic affi liate of New
York Medical College and New York Institute of Technology.
Rodriguez attended City College of New York before attending DePaul University College of
Law.
Rodriguez was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Health Net of New York,
serving 260,000��commercial and Medicare members in New York.
Prior to that, Rodriguez was the Founder and President/CEO for Socios Mayores en Salud,
LLC dba American Medicare. Rodriguez created a company in Puerto Rico which was the
fourth largest Medicare HMO in the region. He acquired an insurance company called American
Health Inc. to facilitate the contract with the federal government to become a Medicare
Advantage provider.
Rodriguez has always been a caring and charitable man and takes part in many community
activities. Previously, he was on the Board of Trustees of the New School University, Chair of
Student’s Committee and a member of the Budget and Executive Committee for 25��years.
He was admitted to practice law in the State of New York, Southern and Eastern Districts of
New York, though he no longer practices in the fi eld.
Rodriguez was also a former member of the Board of Directors of Berkshire Farm Center &
Service Youth. Rodriguez does volunteer work with organizations dedicated to helping those
with autism as well as serves on the Board of Directors for a Special Needs Hockey Team.
