Carl Gambino has been serving as the Senior Vice President and Group Director at Signature
Bank. He was born and raised in Greenwich Village, with his formal education shaped
exclusively by New York City schools. His professional career in banking spans over almost
40 years of accomplishments in Manhattan in neighborhoods such as Greenwich Village, the
East Village, Chelsea in the shadow of the Flat Iron building, the Empire State Building, the
Diamond district, the Garment district, and Madison Square Garden building.
Gambino was not only considered an exceptional manager of personnel, and a multitasking
executive, he was also considered to be one of the most ethical men in the field. What
separated him from many others in the field was his commitment to the total community in
which he worked. As a corporate “neighbor,” Gambino has given his time, talent, and treasure
to support many charitable organizations as an event volunteer/coordinator, board member
and patron.
Gambino was a founding member of the East Village Business Association, Board member of
the 23 Street Association, and The Chelsea YMCA, as well as the Big Apple Greeter. He has
sat on the board for LaSalle Academy, is a New York City Advisor board member for Friends
of Karen, and a Board member of Professional Business Networking Association.
He co-founded a networking dinner called “The Gathering” over twelve years ago and still
continues today. Gambino is married to his childhood sweetheart, has two grown sons, two
beautiful grandchildren, and a dog named Mia.
