Wayne Zimmermann was born in Ridgewood and raised in Maspeth, Queens. He graduated
high school from the George Westinghouse Vocational High School. Wayne is a graduate
of the NYC Technical College. Originally beginning his career at Elmhurst Hospital as a
Biomedical Technician, today Wayne manages the facility successfully as Chief Operating
Officer.
Wayne takes pleasure in working with his community and giving back. His hobbies include
playing and watching sports which include softball, basketball, bowling, football, baseball and
golf. Other activities he enjoys include cooking, gardening, listening to music and DJ’ing. His
community involvement includes:
• Past President of Maspeth Lions Club
• Past Governor of Ridgewood Moose Lodge #1642
• Coach for Moose Softball Team
Mr. Zimmermann has been happily married for 39 years to his wife Laura and they have two
children—their son Michael and daughter Heather and two grandchildren, Grace and Dylan.
