Between the two of them, lots of choreographing
goes on in the apartment, and that’s
where the terrace comes in. Huge by New
York City standards, the terrace looks out over
30th Avenue. It’s decorated to perfection, creating
a cozy nook with a bright red couch on
one side and a love seat and bright blue papasan
chair on the other. The table and chairs
in the center can easily be pushed to the side,
creating the perfect mini-stage for dancing.
“No matter where I’ve lived, no matter
what whirlwind of a day I’ve had, I need
the craziness to slip away when I walk
back to my door and that’s what this
does,” Guerrero said.
“It’s our calm place,” echoed Horenstein.
“It really doubles our square footage
in terms of just being able to move
around or have two separate meetings or
two separate work sessions in and out.”
A wooden storage shed they built together
called “Fat Amy” sits in the corner.
There’s a George Forman grill, and sign
