STREET STYLE
Travis (@mr_h15), part of the @thejugular
podcast, was visiting Astoria for some brunch.
He said his style is “trendy casual.” His quilted
jacket, rolled-up jeans and boots, accented with
bold black and white stripes on his shirt, were
perfect for a laid-back day visiting Astoria.

his month, Astorians took advantage of warmer days for casual
brunches with friends. But even when wearing classic,
comfortable pieces like jeans, puffy jackets, and sweatshirts,
they were sure to add their own twists to their looks.
I spotted fun prints like bumble-bee colored striped socks, a
confetti-printed shirt and a bright red checkered scarf. One
resident even sported an eye-catching neon zipper.
Why stick with neutrals like black and jeans when you can wear
purple sunnies or mauve pants? Even neutrals got an update with
interesting textures, like a chevron-textured gray scarf. Check out
some of our favorite looks.
Dustin, an Astoria resident and performer,
was out enjoying the weekend
and visiting The Strand for brunch. He
describes his style as “fun.” His unique,
mauve-tone pants and confetti-printed
collared shirt definitely fit that description
in my book.

Vina (@if_you_like_vina_

student visiting Astoria,
said her style is “eclectic,
trendy and hobo.” She
paired her belted coat,
crossbody bag and booties
with ripped jeans for a
casual day with a good
friend.

she likes “functional
pieces” in her wardrobe.
I loved her rolled-up
skinny jeans, yellowand
black striped socks
and bright sunnies.
With her coat, scarf
and sunglasses all in
a monotone purple
and socks that bucked
the trend, I felt her
personality shine
through with this look.
