to the singer by Weisman herself.
“A shoebox is a great way to inexpensively
make storage but also have color,”
Weisman said. “And there’s something
that comes when you see the Nike logo.
It makes you think of a certain aesthetic,
so I like having them around. I think it’s
effortlessly cool.”
There’s “Stranger Things” Monopoly,
her collection of DVDs (as a true believer
in tangible film) and clusters of plants.
“Greenery, they say, psychologically
makes you calmer,” Weisman noted.
The high table holds a photo of Weisman
and her brother, a framed InStyle
masthead from when she worked there
and a Dave Matthews Band drumstick
that she caught at a concert.
“I have so many different styles that I
like, so each part of my apartment has a
different aesthetic,” she said. “You don’t
feel like there’s one vibe all the way
through.”
Her vision even extends to the closet.
She’s taken up color-coding and organizing
her outfits and accessories in such a
way that makes them more exciting to
her. “Something I read once which has
been influential in my life is that you
should arrange your items like you’d see
them in a store,” Weisman explained.
“That’s because when you see them in
