AIRPORT V 20 OICE, FEBRUARY 2020
JFK Chamber Commerce,
JFK Rotary mingle
1st co-party at Cradle
of Aviation
Two long established organizations
at the JFK Airport, the JFK
Airport Chamber of Commerce and
the JFK Airport Rotary held a joint
evening of networking.
Close to 200 people showed up
meeting with organizational friends
and chatting with other airport colleagues
or invited guests who were
potential new members.
How more appropriate to hold an
event at the Cradle of Aviation Museum?
The museum provides educational
programs to schools and
is filled with the history of aviation
with hundreds of exhibits featuring
multi-media displays and dozens
of model planes and actual aircraft
from the past right up to lunar landing
spaceships. Everyone enjoyed
the evening’s company while walking
though aviation history, sipping
light refreshments and nibbling on
appetizers.
Both organizations are comprised
of individuals and companies from
the airport community and participate
in the social-giving side of the
airport.
The Chamber is more business
oriented with its mission to bring
together companies that wish to do
commerce with other airport related
firms. Both organizations hold annual
events notably the 9-11 Memorial
by the Chamber and the Runway
Run by the Rotary. But they both hold
other networking events to drive
their individual missions such as
summer golf outings and social gatherings.
