Union Community Health Center (UCHC) is a cornerstone of the Bronx, serving all those
in need of healthcare since 1909. Once a large community hospital, the Union of today
is a Federally Qualified Health Center with multiple locations. Recognized by the
National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its medical home model of
providing comprehensive, quality care, UCHC provides comprehensive primary medical,
dental and specialty care services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
UCHC accepts most government insurance plans including Medicaid, Medicaid
Managed Care, Medicare, Medicare Managed Care, TriWest and commercial insurance
plans. Individuals without health insurance can meet with a financial counselor at a
convenient location for assistance in applying for insurance coverage or participating in
a self-pay sliding fee scale.
