Doing your research is
critical when it comes to your
health. If you get your information
from the news and the barrage
of infomercials you are
sure to run into problems. You
need to hear both sides. Listen,
and then research again before
you make up your mind.
In the past, it took 7-10 years
before a vaccine was deemed
safe. One of the reasons it took
so long is because the side effects
were monitored over time
as it often takes years for side
effects to be seen. Unfortunately,
this is not happening
with the Covid vaccine. But
now some very serious side effects
are being seen.
I know that it is very hard
to fi nd credible information
so I want to share information
presented by Dr. Chunn Lindsay,
a molecular biologist and
toxicologist. I wanted to share
this because I have read the
exact same recommendations
from other doctors and researchers.
She and others are
recommending the halt of the
mRNA and DNA vaccines due
to multiple safety concerns.
According to Dr. Lindsay
there is credible concern that
the Covid vaccine can impair
fertility and reproductive outcomes.
She also reports that
studies show that Covid shots
used in pregnant women revealed
an 82% miscarriage
rate when the vaccine was
given during the fi rst 20 weeks
of pregnancy.
CDC data has revealed
that more than 300 children
between the ages of 12 and 18
have died from Myocarditis,
a now recognized side effect
of the vaccine, yet the vaccine
has now been approved for children
as young as 5. Dr. Malone,
the creator of the mRNA technology
does not recommend
the vaccine for children. He
also says that there is no transparency
regarding the side effects
of the vaccine.
Dr. Jessica Rose, a research
fellow at the Institute
for Pure and Applied Knowledge
in Israel, has taken a
deep dive into VAERS (Vaccine
Adverse Events Reporting
System). You can go to her
website called Jessica’s World
for an in depth explanation of
how the VAERS is being manipulated
and what the statistics
mean. It is information
that is absolutely crucial to
have in order to make educated
decisions about your
health and safety. She states
that there are 39,000 adverse
reactions on average to all
vaccines per year, as opposed
to 675,942 adverse events post-
Covid vaccine. This is the domestic
data and it does not
include the under reporting.
Investigators have found that
only 10% to as little as 1% of
injuries are reported.
Many doctors feel that
clinically proven treatments
for Covid-19 are being suppressed
in favor of a vaccine
that has proven concerning
side effects. Hydroxychloroquine,
Ivermectin, Ozone
therapy, nebulized peroxide,
steroids and cocktails of appropriate
supplements are being
used by doctors all over
the world.
We all have to make our
own decisions when it comes
to our health and we should
respect the decisions of others.
I urge you to research
both sides.
Our next civic association
meeting will be on Dec. 26 at
7:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran
Church on Hollywood and
Baisley avenues. We hope to
see you there. We will be celebrating
Christmas and the
New Year. We want to wish all
of our members and friends
a happy and safe holiday. We
hope to see you at the meeting.

It’s offi cial. Merry Christmas
to all of our Sam Young
Post 620 family, friends, veterans
and to all of our active
duty members. We didn’t see
many of you at our annual
Post 620 Christmas party
last week. For those who did
attend, there was plenty to
eat, drink and sing-a-long to.
Many ugly sweaters but only
one winner. Thank you Jeanette
for putting it together.
Stop by and check out the
outdoor Christmas decorations
and music as you enter
the building. The fi replace
is up and running, and the
egg nog is pouring. This the
season to be jolly. A little
happening update on what’s
going on around here. We
invited our local Air Force
recruiters the use of our facility
and the audio/visual
system. About 25 young men
and women recruits came
into our Post to watch the
PowerPoint presentation on
the large 15-foot projection
screen and to hear what to
expect once they enter into
basic training. Sure brought
back the good old days. A big
thank you goes out to Booster
members Dermitt and Jason,
and SAL Billy Jr. Franklin
and my son Joseph, for the
major cleanup we did at the
Post. Thank you Jason for
providing the dumpster. We
are updating the old soda
system with two new eightbutton
dispenser guns and
all new lines. We are still undecided
on whether to have
a New Year’s Eve party. We
know many folks like to stay
home. But then again it’s always
nice to ring in the New
Year with your friends. Let
Jeanette know ASAP.
I am not sure at this time
about the Broadway play
“Tina” on Jan. 4, which we
signed up for with TDF. I will
contact you regarding the situation
next week. Our Valentine
event is still on for Saturday,
Feb. 12 (as long as there
isn’t a blizzard.) This will
be more of a lounge performance
by “The Many Voices
of Dennis Dell.” Limited to 50
people. A $20 donation each
will get you a seat at a table.
Each table will have a complementary
bottle of red and
white wine, and snacks. A
cash bar is available for cocktails.
Feel free to bring your
own snacks too. Reservation
being taken at the Post starting
Jan. 3.
In closing, we hope and
pray that those who are leading
our county, guides us
into safety, good health and
strong leadership into the
New Year. For God and Country.
Merry Christmas, peace
and love.

Pandemic-related hardships
confronted by small
businesses warrant political
focus and community concern.
The outliers of this well directed
attention are organizations
dependent upon membership
dues and catering events.
Numerous area beach clubs,
Spencer Estate’s Knights of Columbus,
AMVET, V.F W. and
American Legions in nearby
neighborhoods fall into this
dilemma-laden group. Their
solvencies are threatened by
pandemic-related income restrictions
with responsibilities
to fulfi ll fi nancial obligations.
Despite revenue stream limitations
these organizations must
pay property taxes, water bills,
multiple insurances and state
Liquor Authority fees. Continuance
of hardships create
susceptibilities to fi nancial arrears
status and potential NYC
property tax and water liens.
In typical times, these venues
promote social and family interactions,
forge inter-community
relationships, provide forums
for community and civic
groups, and serve as emotional
support networks. In the grand
scheme, these venues are vital
to our communities. All
elected offi cials, community
boards, city and state agencies
should staunchly support
these community assets. Many
of these venues on prime realestate
locales are targets for investors.
It would be detestable
and indefensible to idly watch
these longstanding pillars of
community fraternizations
reach their demise.

MEETING – LOW POINTS
Post meeting, the Spencer
Estate Civic Association was
advised to change mailing address
and make arrangements
for future events. The odor of
sale and possible land review
suddenly fi lled the air. What is
the fate of Knights of Columbus
Building at 3243 Ampere Ave.?
How will it affect our community?
The owners remain tightlipped.
A community, curious
and concerned. History shows
it is better to be proactive than
reactive. The Grinch may have
paid an early visit to our community.
Fellow residents that
enjoy the low density community
should prepare for battle.
Anyone interested in helping
with the efforts to preserve
our low density characteristic
Please send e-mail to spencerestatecivic@

Merry Christmas, Happy
Holidays and wishes for a
healthy, prosperous New Year
to all.
Monthly meetings resume
in March. However, the traditional
winter respite could be
interrupted by circumstances
requiring ad hoc attention.
If we want to keep and reap
the blessings of our fi ne quality
of life, we must endure the
fatigue of supporting it. Our
community has traditionally
exhibited a “We are Family attitude.”
Now is the time to let
it shine. Communicate; make
that phone call, text message
or email. Please check on family,
friends and neighbors especially
the elderly and vulnerable.
Please submit all inquiries

Association to spencerestatecivic@
