community organization and advocacy, Rigaud Noel
has dedicated his career to cultivating an equitable society
and igniting positive change.
Under Rigaud’s leadership, New Settlement has expanded its
reach in Mount Eden, providing more individuals with resources
to thrive.
He spearheaded efforts to reopen New Settlement’s Com-

Greg Perry founded Crown Trophy, “The Field Good Busi-

After 40 dedicated years as an educator for the CUNY system,
Perry held a professorial position at BMCC’s Health Department
and from there he retired after 43 years.
Perry has been a member of the Business Improvement
District board of directors and a resident of the Westchester
Square Merchants Association.

Edison Ortega is the Senior Vice President, Chief Operating

ence from Campbell University before moving on to Kean University,
and earned his master’s from Fordham Gabelli School
of Business.
Before starting his career at Spring Bank, Edison served in the
US Army.
Edison is also on the Board of Managers - Bronx for the YMCA
of Greater New York. He also does volunteer work for the
American Legion and the Fordham Social Innovation Collaboratory.

BRONX COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
Michael Partis is the Executive Director of the Bronx Coopera-
economic democracy with working-class Bronx residents.
He is also the co-founder of The Bronx Brotherhood Project,
a volunteer-based college success and mentorship program
for Black and Latino teens at New Settlement College Access
Center.
Formerly, he was the Director of South Bronx Rising Together.
He is also a Researcher at the Bronx African American History
Project, where he and Professor Mark Naison are editing “After
The Fires:” a collection of post-1970s South Bronx oral histories.
