Roberto Velez is a native New Yorker, born and raised in the
Bronx. He is an attorney with 41 years ‘experience representing
and serving the people of New York City. For 17 years, he
served in City government under three different Mayoral administrations
in several leadership roles.
Roberto is presently the Executive Director of the NYC Conditional
Release Commission of the NYC Department of Probation.

that capacity, he was the principal legal adviser to the Chief Exec-
Andre D. White is the Executive Director and CEO of Phipps
Neighborhoods, which helps children, youth, and families in low-income
communities rise above poverty. He is a national leader in
public service,experience and accomplishments to this role.
As Deputy Commissioner of Youth Workforce Development at
the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development,
Andre managed $220 million in annual public and private funding
for youth employment, internships, training and high school
dropout prevention services.
His educational background includes a BA in Political Science
and MA in Political Science, Urban Policy and Administration
from CUNY Brooklyn.

Prior to joining SoBro, Lourdes was appointed by Gov. Cuomo
