AIRPORT SERVICE
QUALITY SURVEYS
As part of the JFK management
commitment to understanding
customer pain
points, needs, and desires, the
Port Authority Aviation Department
has resumed Airport
Service Quality (ASQ)
surveying and field work at
the airports.
ASQ is our primary source
for measuring passenger satisfaction
specific to various service
areas and touch points,
tracking changes in performance
each quarter, and evaluating
progress. Passengers
complete the ASQ survey inperson
at the airport using a
tablet, and survey data are analyzed
and reported quarterly.
Respondent demographics are
analyzed weekly to ensure
various sampling parameters
and completion requirements
are met.
The survey covers 34 service
areas/touch points as
well as overall satisfaction. It
creates an industry standard
set of responses that allows
Port Authority to benchmark
results against peer airports
in local and global markets.
The peer panel for LGA consists
of BOS, BWI, FLL, MSP,
and PHL.
The Port Authority has set
a goal for 2021 to achieve an
average of 4.0 Overall Satisfaction
rating (out of 5) across our
three major airports (JFK,
LGA, EWR). Accordingly,
LGA has established a goal to
achieve a 4.0 Overall Satisfaction
rating. Each Terminal
Operator will receive an individualized
communication
with terminal-specific goals
and a reference of previous
scores.
We look forward to the collaboration
required to meet
these objectives and appreciate
our stakeholders’ commitment
to continuing to deliver
world class experiences
