With an estimated 27 million visitors a year, Queens Center
is one of the busiest and most productive shopping centers in
the entire United States. Almost 200 stores are located on the
four-floor, 966,499-square-foot retail Mecca, including Apple,
Abercrombie Kids, Hollister, Vans, American Eagle, Armani
Exchange, Disney Store, Guess, Forever 21, The Cheesecake
Factory and Shake Shack.
There’s an on-site, multi-level parking lot, and Queens Center
is near the Woodhaven Boulevard Station for M and R trains as
well as Long Island Expressway’s Exit 19.
Inside Scoop: Queens Center opened on land previously occupied
by the Fairyland children’s amusement park on Sept. 12, 1973.

Hotels
Queens is in the middle of a hotel boom. Currently, there
are more than 100 inns in the borough, including everything
from top-luxury venues with valet parking, a restaurant, and
a swimming pool to youth hostels where clients share large
rooms with unknown others. In the summer, a beachside
camping ground with tents welcomes visitors. In short, there’s
something for every traveler’s needs.
Hotels operate all over the borough with large, 25-plus clusters in
Long Island City, Flushing, and near the two airports (LaGuardia
