Mask Matters
NEW: The TSA has increased
fines for mask violations and extend
necessity to wearing into
2022.
FAA Statement on Wearing
Masks in Airports and On Planes
The Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC), the Transportation
Security Administration
(TSA), and the U.S. Department
of Transportation (DOT) remind
the traveling public that at this time
if you travel, you are still required
to wear a mask on planes, buses,
trains, and other forms of public
transportation traveling into,
within, or out of the United States,
and in U.S. transportation hubs
such as airports and stations
President Biden has lifted the international
travel restrictions beginning
November 8 meaning that we
all will welcome back visitiors from
around the world. The only catch is
that they be vaccinated before entering
the country. We mus be strict so
we can continue the resumption of
our pre-pandemic lives and yet bring
tourism back.
The influx of travellers will bring
us all closer to normalcy and bring in
billions of dollars in tourist and hospitality
dollars. Airport concessions in
particular at the airports will reap the
benefits. The entire workforce at all
the airports will benefit from increasing
number and types of jobs available.
It is said that the lack of response
to job opportunities is lackluster.
Some feel that there is a sense that
people are looking for more than just
a paycheck. But studies show that
they are looking for more personal
fulfillment. Today there are a wide variety
of positions in the aviation field,
and opportunities to explore more
jobs. More companies are offering
additional benefits such as schooling,
and more PTO to accomodate
the pressures some have with childcare.
It is a great time to begin a new
career or go back to school. The aviation
community needs more qualified
peope in cargo, piloting, freight,
hospitaity and more.
We are welcoming back not just
international travellers but our country's
men and women as well.
Cancer Awareness
We are in the middle Breast Cancer
Awareness Month affecting millions
of women every year. Every
year more people become aware of
the need to share the message of
caring and hope with our fellow workers
friends and family. More are taking
health actions such as regular annual
exams to for early detection and
treatment against disease which also
affects both men and women.
International Flights
Proof of vaccine, proof of PCR
testing within 72 hours of flight time
and potential quarantines are now
to be expected on those countries
allowing international travellers into
their countries. Check with your airline
for requirements.
Passports: Many countries require
your passport have 3 to 6
months validity remaining before
they will allow you to enter or issue
a travel visa.
November 19: KAAMCO & KAAMCO
Cargo Annual Dinner Dance.
