No Dogs left behind & Congress
Asks CDC to lift the quarantine
57 Members of Congress sent a letter to the CDC With Bipartisan Call to Reevaluate
the Dog Importation Ban! PROGRESS IN ACTION … together, we are
fighting the good fight to help bring our dogs home!
“I want to personally thank all our adopters and supporters, and dog loving
Americans who reached out to their elected representatives to speak out against
the CDC’s decision,” says Jeffrey Beri, Founder and President of NDLB. “We are
extremely grateful to the Representatives who listened to their constituents and
signed their name to this letter in support of a more deliberate and narrowly tailored
approach that both protects public health and allows international animal
welfare organizations, such as NDLB, to continue their lifesaving work.”
Special thanks to Animal Wellness Action for spearheading this Congressional
call to action, especially Marty Irby, Penny Eastman and Jennifer Skiff who
have worked tirelessly to help dogs around the world.
