Breast Cancer Awareness
Signs of support can be found everywhere especially at United's large operation at Newark
Airport.
It’s officially Pinktober! For 16 years,o ur annual campaign kick-off to help raise awareness
and funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation while we continue Delta’s unwavering
commitment to fight breast cancer and find a cure. Since Delta’s mission began with BCRF
in 2005, our Delta customers have helped us raise $20 million toward funding 80 different
research projects – a huge step in the journey to eradicating breast cancer. This disease
affects so many of our customers and employees, and their resilience and determination
to keep going and fighting for a cure is truly an inspiration. The great news: you can help
continue the fight! Throughout the month of October, Delta employees across the globe will
don pink uniforms, accept donations for BCRF and sell pink products onboard our flights.
Customers can also purchase BCRF merchandise through our online store and donate to the
cause on Thanks to all of you for joining us in our journey to find a cure. Let’s get ready to
beat last year’s fundraising efforts and end breast cancer!

CBP wears PINK agency patch in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Founders Donna Cioffi and Linda Bonanno create calls to action, providing a friendly reminder
for routine breast cancer screenings do to begin breast/chest health much earlier in
life. ACTION. Through charity workshops, the campaign has reached thousands of youth and
adults in New York. The first bill by the Got Checked? campaign passed in 2018. A Long Island
teacher who passed away at the age of 31 with breast cancer inspired the law. Shannon’s
Law lowers the mammogram age prescription to 35 in New York.Got Checked? also recently
championed two new bills that reflect its core educational values towards prevention and
social justice. Siena’s Law brings age-appropriate, gradual breast/chest health education to
New York schools. The Eleonora Legacy Act recently passed unanimously in Assembly and
is currently on the Senate floor.
