She also teaches change management at Touro College. She received her doctorate in business education from New York University in 2007. Her research interests include collaborative learning in business schools and the workplace, cross-cultural teaching and managing change through transformative learning. She also holds an M.S. in advertising from Northwestern University. Dr. Brock has published widely in scholarly journals. And her most recent book, At the Intersection of Communication, Marketing, and Transformation, was published by Academic Studies Press in 2013. She also writes on gender relationships. Men Head East Women Turn Right has been translated into five languages and converted to an eBook under the title, I Say This, You Say That. Writing mystery novels is a hobby and she has published several under a pseudonym in collaboration with her friends. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Brock held global leadership positions at Citicorp, Colgate-Palmolive, DuPont and Young & Rubicam, as well as various entrepreneurial ventures. ROSA A. FIGUEROA Rosa A. Figueroa is currently the Director of the Small Business Development Center at LaGuardia Community College. Prior to this she was a part of the implementation of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program at LaGuardia Community. She also served as the program’s first Business Advisor. Her previous professional experience includes Certified Business Advisor at York College, Associate, Interim Director of the Small Business Development Center at LaGuardia Community College, Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University, and she had her own business consultant business. Rosa has provided small business consulting services in strategic management to start-up and existing small businesses and assisted clients obtain loans and grow their businesses for over 20 years at the New York State Small Business Development Center. Prior to working with small businesses, she worked in middle market commercial lending as a credit analyst in asset based lending and a credit administration officer for an international bank. Rosa received a BA in Education from Queens College of CUNY and a MBA in Financial Management from Pace University, Lubin Graduate School of Business. ERICA L. OLESKE Development Officer Catholic Foundation for Brooklyn & Queens The daughter of a Queensborn mom, Erica Oleske is especially proud to be recognized as a Top Queens Woman in Business. Erica works in Development for the Catholic Foundation for Brooklyn and Queens and Futures In Education, where she focuses her fundraising efforts on creating scholarships for needy children in the community and overseeing major events. Erica came to Futures In Education and the Catholic Foundation from Parasol Marketing Group, where she worked with travel and hospitality clients as a travel PR and marketing specialist, and Susan Magrino Agency, where she served as a fashion, beauty and consumer goods publicist. Erica holds her B.A. in English from Rutgers University and completed her study abroad at Pembroke College, Cambridge University. She is passionate about education and philanthropy, dedicating her spare time to mentoring underprivileged children with iMentor and serving on the Junior Committee for the Alzheimer’s Association.
