WEDNESDAY, MAY 21 The North Shore of Long Island Chapter of The Hearing Loss Association of hosts a session with a representative from HearMore Co., a company that specializes in products for those who have hearing loss, are deaf or are visually impaired. A hands-on demonstration of various aids and assistive listening devices will be presented. Free; all are welcome. Meeting commences at 7 p.m. The Big Apple Circus returns to Queens this spring for its 27th annual performance dedicated to Outreach, New York’s premier nonprofi t provider of drug and alcohol abuse treatment and training services. The fi lm follows a charismatic street doctor who makes “house calls” to the homeless, delivering lifesaving medical care to his struggling patients who must deal with their demons, disease and death.
