Handsman Managing Director & Senior Vice President Herald National Bank Bank Leumi S t e f a n i e Handsman was recently appointed as the Head of Treasury Services at Bank Leumi USA. In this role she is responsible for the sales activities within Cash Ma n a g e m e n t , Trade Finance, Foreign Currency and Online Banking that drive and support the commercial banking business model. A native of Queens, Stefanie has been serving commercial banking clients in the New York metro area for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Bank Leumi USA, Stefanie served as the Head of Commercial Banking at Amalgamated Bank where she oversaw middle market and business credit activities. Stefanie’s banking career began while she was still enrolled in college. She was employed as a Teller at Citibank and later went on to join the bank’s Management Training Program. She received a B.S. in Accounting from Brooklyn College, and is currently pursuing her Executive MBA from the Baruch College Zicklin School of Business. Stefanie is active in community affairs and previously served as Board Chair of the Queens Botanical Garden. Director of Public Affairs and Marketing Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Beth Abraham Family of Health Services Linda Spiegel serves as the Director of Public Affairs/ Volunteer Services for the Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center a member of the CenterLight Healthcare System. Spiegel has an unwavering commitment to the quality and innovative care afforded to the Senior population in Queens. As the provision of health care has grown, Spiegel has been responsible for the creative, strategic and effective marketing plan for Tietz. From making last wishes come true at the Tietz Center Hospice unit to creating innovative intergenerational programs, Spiegel’s innovative public relations style and close relationships with community leaders is credited with branding the Tietz name and opening its doors to varied ethnic communities. Most recently as the facility has become strictly kosher Spiegel has formed new relationships to bring the message to the Jewish and Orthodox Jewish communities that the Tietz Center has every amenity in place to meet their needs. From extending the eruv to include 6 communities, to holding religious services on –site daily Spiegel has made sure that all the Rabbi’s, Community leaders, and Civic groups are aware of these new capabilities. Spiegel has been honored by the Holocaust Center and Archives. The Summit School, Queens School for Career Development and ABR also awarded her recognition for volunteer opportunities for individuals with special needs. She sits on the board of the Queens Jewish Community Council and has developed special relationships with the Holocaust Resource Center and Senior Centers throughout the borough of Queens. Domenique Camacho Moran Partner, Farrell Fritz, P.C. As a partner in Farrell Fritz, P.C.’s Commercial Litigation Department, Domenique Camacho Moran “is a litigator whose practice focuses primarily on employment litigation, including matters arising under Title , the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act as well as the New York Human Rights Law.” A graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School, Moran is a member of the Executive and Program Committees of the Nassau County Museum of Art’s Women’s Executive Network, Work/Life Corporate Committee of the National Association of Mothers’ Centers, and the 2008 Go Red Committee based in Queens, among others. Moran was selected as a “40 under 40” award recipient in 2006 by Long Island Business News. Ms. Moran is also a dynamic speaker and has been a featured speaker at several Queens Chamber of Commerce seminars for their members and has been invited to speak to the Long Island City Business Development Corporation. Annette Valone- Rocchio President, Landrum School of Performing Arts and Precious Moments Nursery School & Day Care Center Annette Vallone is the owner and director of the Landrum School of Performing Arts and Precious Moments Nursery School and Day Care Center. A dancer since she was a toddler, Annette who majored in dance and minored in early childhood briefly danced with the Radio City Rockettes. Having been a serious student at the Landrum Dance School since she was 3, Annette was asked to carry on the Landrum tradition when original owner Frances Landrum retired. Her graduates can be seen on Broadway, television commercials, cruise ships and one is also a Rockette with more on the way! Many of her students have also gone on to open their own dance schools. Annette has just expanded by adding a full acting , singing and performing arts component to the Landrum School with a full operational in-house theater. About 10 years later Annette saw the community need for a day care center and opened Precious Moments Nursery School and Day Care Center. Since its founding she has opened additional locations for both businesses. Annette was honored for her excellence in operationg a day care center by The National Association of Young Children’s Educators. Her lifelong passion is to help students developpe confidence and positve self esteem to further their education and passion in the arts. Maureen Buglino Vice President for Community and Emergency Medicine at New York Hospital Queens Maureen Buglino is the Vice President for Community and Emergency Medicine at New York Hospital Queens (NYHQ). She has over 25 years of experience in health care administration. Ms. Buglino has established a network of ambulatory care centers throughout the diverse neighborhoods of Queens. Many of these centers are recognized nationally as patient centered medical homes. The Emergency Department at NYHQ also expanded under her leadership. Ms. Buglino has served on numerous advisory committees and councils. She recently served on the Greater New York Hospital Associations task force on improving ambulatory care. Ms. Buglino has been recognized by numerous community groups, such as, Visions, the HealthCare Association of New York, the Korean Practitioners Association, the Greater New York Korean American Association and the American Lung Association for her commitment and dedication to community outreach and education. She also was a recipient of the top 10 women in business award in 2003. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Silvercrest 202 Housing Units. Ms. Buglino has overall responsibility at NYHQ for 14 ambulatory outpatient sites, a busy emergency department, a 911 participating ambulance service, an outpatient dialysis center and a Radiation Oncology Center. She manages a budget of $48 million and oversees 350 employees, as well as, contracted physician groups. Ms. Buglino started her career as a Registered Nurse at Booth Memorial Medical Center and through a series of promotions made her way to a Vice President at NYHQ. She holds an A.A.S. degree in nursing from Queensborough Community College, a BS degree in Community Education from St. Joseph’s College and a MPH from Hunter College. Ms. Buglino is a native of Queens, growing up in Maspeth. She resides in Flushing with her husband Peter and her three cats. They have one daughter, Lauren, who is a Special Education teacher in Elmhurst.
