Musiician's Center.
Talonda Thomas, is an energetic
and highly sought-after
speaker, marketing mentor,
and business coach. She is
originally from Albany, and
got her start in business after
graduating from the Crane School
of Music using music lessons as a
means to afford living in New York
City. Thomas served for 10 years as a
choral music teacher and department facilitator with the Freeport
Public Schools before exiting public education for an exciting life
as a travel-loving entrepreneur. She uses her experience as both a
public school music administrator and entrepreneur to bring the
arts to kids across Long Island.
Motivated after seeing the cuts in funding for music education,
Thomas researched the correlation between participating in music
programs and overall academic achievement. She opened the New
York Musician’s Center (NYMC) in 2006, where over 600 students
are currently enrolled in music lessons. NYMC connects students
with great instruction and exciting opportunities such as their
upcoming performance at Carnegie Hall.
Thomas consults with new business owners to help them develop
the skills and systems to build sustainable businesses that allow
them to live their most fulfilled life. She is the author of the book
Screw the Business Plan. She currently resides in West Hempstead
with her two sons Malachi and Julien.

Born and raised on Long Island, she has worked for over
15 years providing advertising , strategic partnerships,
sponsorships and events for Long Island businesses and
nationally recognized corporations.
She has brought all of this to The Argyle, which opened s
in Babylon Village a year ago as Long Island’s newest and
largest year-round professional Equity theater. She helps
businesses connect their products and services with The
Argyle’s audience advertising and sponsorships She is happily
married with two children, enjoys traveling, interior
design, and golf.

Erin King Sweeney has
represented the Fifth
Councilmanic District
since 2015, as well as
serving on nonprofit
boards related to
health care, aviation
and art.
Business-savvy and
civic-minded, King Sweeney
is a partner at Eckert
Seamans Attorneys at Law
and a managing member of King
Sweeney Strategies, LLC, in Wantagh.
She also serves on the Wantagh-Seaford Homeowner’s
Association Board and the Belmont Child Care Association
Advisory Board, is a member of Wantagh Kiwanis Club and
a former Board Member of the Cradle of Aviation Museum.
King Sweeney is a Circle of Red Member with the American
Heart Association, a former member of the Nassau County
Traffic Safety Board, and a corporate member of the Nassau
County Museum of Art.
She in 2013 was named the Businessperson of the Year and
an honorary chief with the New York State Police Chiefs'
Benevolent Association and in 2014 won the Achiever Award
from the L.I. Center for Business and Professional Women.
She also obtained FBI Certificate of Recognition for her
assistance with the 9/11 investigation. Sweeney graduated
from the University of Notre Dame and University of Notre
Dame Law School. She lives in Wantagh with her husband,
son and daughter.
Nancy Tomich

Nancy Tomich took a key
role at the Dime Community
Banks’ residential lending
operations in November 2017
as the bank sought to diversify
its assets.
Prior to joining Dime she
served as managing director of
residential mortgage services and
senior vice president at Astoria Bank
since October of 2014, where she was
responsible for the strategic direction of the Residential Mortgage
Services Group. In her role, Astoria consistently generated in
excess of $75 million of mortgage loans annually.
From December 2012 to October 2014 Tomich was the director
of residential lending at Astoria. From 2005 to 2012, she served
as first vice president and director of the mortgage operations
department.
Tomich is a past president of the Community Bankers Mortgage
Forum and holds the Certified Mortgage Banker designation . She
obtained a masters of business administration with distinction
from New York Institute of Technology and graduated magna cum
laude from NYIT with a B.S. in Business Administration.
