Dr. Alpna Aggarwal specializes
in helping infants who require
intensive care, providing crucial
assistance at a time when
expertise and assistance can
be the difference between life
and death. She also focuses on
the importance of good follow-up
when children leave intensive care,
making sure they remain healthy
once they’ve left the hospital.
Aggarwal is a neonatologist at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in
New Hyde Park, specializing in the care of premature infants and
sick newborns.
She completed her pediatrics training at Cohen Children’s Medical
Center (formally Schneider’s) and her fellowship in neonatology at
Boston Children’s Hospital. Her special interests include antibiotic
use and developmental follow-up.
As chair of the Neonatal Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee,
she has led several initiatives to optimize the use of antibiotics in
the intensive care unit. In the clinic setting, she works to improve
the quality of care of infants after discharge from the newborn
intensive care unit and plays a significant role in their care with
regards to feeding, nutrition and coordination of early intervention
She spends her free time running with her two boys, ages 6 and 8,
and playing as much tennis as possible.

A native Long Islander, Gina Aiello went on to found
and lead a company here that helps the elderly.
She grew up in Holbrook and graduated from St.
Joseph’s College with a bachelor's degree in psychology.
Before obtaining her master's degree in social
work. She obtained her certification in social work
and is licensed by New York State as a Social Worker.
As a social worker, working in various settings, such
as Winthrop University Hospital, Wnthrop-University
Hospital, Pathways to Independent Living and Nursing Homes.
She found her passion working with the elderly and their families.
In 2010, she formed Caring From The Heart, LLC, a geriatric care consultant company
that serves the elderly and their family members, providing home visits, discussion
of financial issues, assessment of care needs, coordination of home care nursing
home placement and processing Medicaid applications and pooled income trusts. She
manages several people within her company.

She currently resides in Port Washington with her husband Tony, a nursing home
administrator, and her two children, Anthony and Christina, and her dog Apollo.
Her son Anthony is a graduate of Paul D. Schreiber High School and has a passion for
animals. Her daughter, Christina, is a student at Weber Middle School and an spiring
dancer who has performed in the Nutcracker at Molloy College, World's Fare at Citifield
and Cooney Island under the production of Joan MacNaughton and other local shows in
Port Washington.
In her spare time, she enjoys going to church, taking walks, baking, and spending
quality time with her family and her dog.

where she assists students and their families manage
the college selection and admission process using a
strategy for success with less stress. She also provides
these services, pro-bono, to underserved or at-risk high
school students in need. Arning has assisted hundreds of
students navigate the college admissions journey and has
participated in speaking engagements related to this topic.
Arning serves as the National Co-Leader of KPMG’s Family of
Literacy (KFFL) and has been involved since 2008 in KPMG’s philanthropic
efforts to eradicate childhood illiteracy across the country. These efforts include
national support for fundraising, book distributions, book readings and organized events
that broaden the firm’s reach as it relates to this unique flagship program.
A long-time volunteer, philanthropist and activist, Arning is focused on issues related to
access to education, women’s parity, hunger and homelessness. She currently serves as
Co-President of the Ellevate Network, Long Island Chapter, a global women’s network that
helps women advance professionally and personally through networking, mentoring and
collaboration; Board of Director and member of the Executive Committee for Interfaith
Nutrition Network Soup Kitchens and Shelters; and member of the Garden City/Mineola
Rotary Club.
Early in her career Arning was an AVP at Chemical Bank, Fraud Prevention and Investigation.
She has served as President of Utopia Tenants Corp; President of Chaminade Parents
Club; Troop Leader, Girls Scouts of America and volunteer at Sacred Heart Academy. In
addition she supports the work of Catholic Charities, Girl Inc. Girlz Talk, American Cancer
Society and many other organizations focused on education and human services.
Arning earned an M.B.A. in Finance and a B.A. Criminal Justice from Long Island University,
Post. She is married with three children and lives on Long Island. She loves the water,
is an avid boater and loves the beauty of nature and all living creatures.
