objects of desire. Never an exact formula, Eugenia personally
selects each bespoke piece. They represent her passion for
travel, artisan craftsmanship, family and a life of being
perfectly imperfect.
A master of multi-tasking, Eugenia divides her time between
her work and her family. While she finds beauty in all the
unique pieces in her store, her most prized objects of desire
are her three children, Juliana, Lucas and Hannah and her
husband Michael.

Jennifer Shapiro-Lee is an Ivy
League educated psychotherapist
and a certified mindfulness and
meditation instructor with a private
psychotherapy practice in Roslyn.
She works with individuals, families,
and couples taking a holistic approach
to mental health, integrating traditional
therapies with mindfulness, meditation,
and self-care to help clients cope with life’s
challenges and transitions. Areas of specialty
include depression, anxiety, grief, stress, life direction/feeling lost,
and relationship issues.
In addition to her therapy practice, she teaches individual and
group meditation classes, leads therapeutic retreats, corporate
wellness events, and is a motivational speaker. Shapiro-Lee also
specializes in bringing mindfulness and meditation into professional
environments.
In her first career she was a sales and fashion executive in New York
City. She generated and oversaw a $10-million business in addition to
managing her team. Her business experience makes her a valuable
asset to bring mindfulness to organizations.
Lauren Sklarin

Lauren Sklarin is passionate about
working with people of all ages,
from helping seniors get the best
care to coaching sports.
Sklarin is currently the director
of community relations for Benchmark
Senior Living’s Orchard Estate
of Woodbury. Prior to this, she held
the same title at Home Instead Senior
Care for Central Suffolk County.
Sklarin graduated from Half Hollow Hills
High School West in Dix Hills, and then from SUNY New Paltz with
a bachelor’s degree in journalism. After receiving her education,
Sklarin began a public relations career at Edelman Worldwide and
has since spent 25 years in the industry.
In addition to her work in public relations, Sklarin has spent the last
15 years teaching classes to children in South Huntington, where
she helps children with presentation skills, thinking out of the box,
and growing up confidently. She is also a licensed soccer coach and
spent 10 years coaching children between the HBC Soccer Club and
the Smithtown Kickers Soccer Club. She has also coached basketball
to children through Half Hollow Hills FURY. With two children in the
Smithtown School District, Sklarin spent three years on the PTA of
Accompsett Middle School as vice president and secretary where she
led many successful fundraisers.
She gives presentations at libraries throughout Nassau and Suffolk
Counties on the warning signs of dementia or helping a senior obtain
the best quality care to meet their needs, she is passionate and enjoys
developing and maintaining relationships with every person she
meets.
Bari Strachman-
Oziel

Bari Strachman-Oziel has
achieved hers.
As the owner and director
of the Dance Arts Centre in
Port Washington. Strachman
Oziel brings a lifelong
expertise in dance, beginning
as a student at the age of three
and as a performer and choreographer
in both community theatre as
well as high school performances.
Strachman-Oziel attended both the University of Maryland
and Hofstra University where she received her BFA degree in
2001. Her lifelong dream was to own her own studio and her
dream was realized when she became owner and director of
the Dance Arts Centre in 2002.
One of her beliefs is to give back to the community as well
as support charitable organizations. She is a member of the
Port Washington Chamber of Commerce, she provides scholarships
to attending studio students with financial need and
awards a performing arts scholarship each year to a graduating
senior attending Paul D. Schreiber High School. She
sponsors donations for Harbor Fest, Port Fest, Pride in Port,
and Hearts (Helping Enrich the Arts and has orchestrated
benefits for the Sands Point Preserve as well as the Muscular
Dystrophy Society.
Strachman-Oziel lives on Long Island, is the proud daughter
of Leslie and Steven Strachman, is married to her husband
Michael, and when not co-parenting 400 students, she is the
proud mother of her favorite son Hudson.
