Dr. Ray Ann Havasy

A scientist, educator,
and not-for-profit
business executive for
over 20 years, Dr. Ray
Ann Havasy now runs a
group focusing on STEM
or Science Technology
Engineering and Math.
She received her bachelor's
degrees in zoology and education
from Connecticut College
and Davis and Elkins College and her masters and doctorate
degrees in biology and education from Columbia University.
She was a science teacher, district wide science coordinator
and middle school principal.
She founded and is executive director of The Center for
Science Teaching and Learning, a non-profit focusing on
STEM that also runs various competitions. The group
recently won a grant from New York State to develop community
based STEM centers and plans to open Dinosaurs! and
Peoples United Bank Animal Adventure, two new attractions
for Long Island. Dr. Havasy is a tireless advocate for students
and has been interviewed by The New York Times, USA
Today and others.

Gillick-Goldberg has

None (1<0) charity from handmade bracelets to a licensed
line of junior active wear, formerly sold at Bloomingdale’s,
nationwide at independent stores and online, helping
children in need and resulting in the rescue of 48 children
enslaved in Ghana, Africa.
Since 2013, Gillick-Goldberg has assisted the Albanese
Organization in positioning Wyandanch Village as a new,
convenient, live/ work Transit Oriented Development
(TOD) community. And she helps Allied Physicians Group
with public relations, marketing, its annual conference
and the Allied Foundation.

of eveningwear, winning Red Rose Achievement Awards in
2009 and 2010.
In 2013, she was promoted to divisional merchandise manager
of Dresses and Suits and awarded DMM of the year in 2015.
In 2017, she was promoted to her current role, vice president
for Lord & Taylor Ladies Apparel, becoming a high-ranking
executive at one of the nation’s best known retailers.
