■SUNNYSIDE SHINES Around the world in 29 plates! Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District is kicking off its 3rd Annual Sunnyside Restaurant Week with an opening reception on Monday, October 19th at 6:30pm at Bliss Plaza (46th St. and Queens Boulevard, under the 7 train station). The public is invited to attend the reception, which will include a guided tour and hors d’oeuvres at selected restaurants in the neighborhood, as well as a one-night film screening in Bliss Plaza. Sunnyside Restaurant Week is a five-day promotion from October 19th – 23rd. Enthusiastic eaters from all over the five boroughs are invited to sample international cuisines from some of the best local restaurants in New York City. This year’s Restaurant Week will feature menus from 29 restaurants. Each restaurant will serve a three course dinner menu for $25 with many establishments offering additional lunch specials. The show, entitled From Dusk til Dawn, is curated by No Longer Empty, the contemporary arts organization.
