Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament
Catholic Academy has
been partnering with the parents
of the Bayside area to educate their
children since 1951. The mission of
the academy is to establish a learning
environment where students are
inspired to embrace Catholic values,
be life long learners, be active members
of the Church community and
obtain the necessary skills for future
leadership.
Our academic program provides
a quality Catholic education through
the implementation of Diocesan and
New York State Standards in an environment
that challenges and encourages
students to work to their
full potential. Many students receive
scholarships to the local Catholic and
specialized High Schools.
We aspire to develop many areas
of your child’s God given talent. Our
comprehensive Music Program offers
instruction in all grades. Nursery
through grade 8, includes Recorder
Karate in grades 3-6, Liturgical Music
Ensemble and Christmas and Spring
Concerts. We also offer the Music
Together Preschool Program, Spring
Orchestra, School Band and Show
Choir. The Arts Program encourages
individual expression through a variety
of mediums, explores art history
and develops skills and techniques in
an annual showcase. Each student is
grades 4 to 8 have individual iPads
and students in K and Grade 3 have
access to chrome books and iPads.
The school’s air-conditioned Computer
lab was upgraded in the spring
of 2018 and a new air-conditioned
STEM lab was created in Spring 2018.
Our After-School program has been
enhanced with Theater, Music, Science
and Academic enrichment programs.
We believe a strong relationship
between home and school is essential.
This is accomplished through
our active Academy Parents Association
and open communication between
parents and teachers which is
enhanced through technology.
