adventure that puts teamwork to the
test. Although this event is free, minors must
accompanied by an adult and must have valid

13 The Queens Museum is here to
change your way of watching
films! Held at the second floor of the Queens
Museum, this workshop will introduce participants
various cinema trends from historical
and cultural perspectives. This workshop will
turn participants into film critics! From 1:30 to
3:30 p.m., it is held at the Queens Museum
in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Admission

15.Join artist Naomi Kuo to make
your own community story quilt!
This summer, Kuo and Queens Memory will
show you different styles of hand-sewing from
local instructors. Not only that, but join a conversation
about craft, family and migration.

16 See what’s growing at QBG Farm
and Compost! Since 2013, this farm
displays the link between composting and
sustainable farming in the heart of Queens
New York. The QBG Farm has produce a diversity
of herbs, fruits and other beneficial plants.
Visit hours are from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Admission
is free with Garden Admission, adults pay
$6, children (between ages 4 to 12) pay $2.
This farm is located in the Queens Botanical

17 Prepare to be in a state of awe!
From 4 to 5 p.m., The Great Miguelino
is set to make the audience laugh and shocked
as he choose some of them to help him with
his amazing magic tricks. The event is free,
though ride and game tickets ranges from
$3 to $30. This event is held at Forest Park

18 Come and celebrate the 4th of July
with a party! From 2 to 6 p.m., Omar
Olusion is hosting a block party that comes

offering free kayaking and canoeing for people of all ages. No prior boating experience is required.

can learn the chords, scales and songs. Guitars are available for children (10 and up) to check out
