Victoria Schneps, publisher of The Queens Courier and Courier Sun, was one
of the guests of honor during the Rockaway Development and Revitalization
Corporation’s Builders Awards gala on May 16 at Russo’s on the Bay in Howard
Beach. Other honorees included Tyler Morse, CEO and managing partner of MCR
Development; Assemblywoman Stacey Pheff er Amato; Cassandra Hill, general
manager of MWBE programs at the Delta Airlines Expansion Project; Dr. Ed Williams
of Ready Rockaway; and community activist Manny Fiallo, who was posthumously
honored. Proceeds from the gala benefi ted the RDRC’s year-round programs yearround
programs to help educate young people in the community.
