Our church history began on April 30, 1853 in Brooklyn, saw a few name and location changes. The final move in 1908, with the construction of a new building, remains our current location. The final name change took place in 1916-The Ridgewood Presbyterian Church. The Ridgewood Presbyterian Church is an open-hearted and openminded diverse congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), the largest and most progressive denomination of Presbyterians. All are welcome to fully participate in the life and ministry of the Ridgewood Presbyterian church regardless of race, ethnicity, age, sex, class, disability, sexual orientation, or theological conviction. Worship is at 10am every Sunday. The Sacrament of The Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month and on “Cup Days” (special feast days). We also worship on other Holy Days throughout the year. If you are looking for a church home come visit us. Pastor Vicki’s sermons will never put you to sleep. She has been with us for 9 years and provides us with a meaningful and often creative Worship experience. Following worship we have Fellowship Time in the church hall. On the third Sunday of each month we have cake , candles and sing to all who were born in that month. At 11:30 we have Sunday School for the children from September through June. We are proud of our Pre- School program which is in their 53rd year. The program is for three and four year olds with classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In 2004 they incorporated and continue to provide many services and a place to gather for companionship. For more information call 718-456-2000. Our Sancutary is home to two other congregations. The Presbyteriana Hispana El Mesias congregation Worships at 2:30pm. For more information call 917 742 6408. All Saints United American Catholic Church congregation Worships at noon. For more information call 347 592 5423. Our building is home to many and provides various outreach programs to the area and beyond. AA Program which is in its 41st year meets on Tuesday, Wed. and Friday. The Ridgewood Property Owners meets the first Thursday of the month. We are proud to be an active part of the Ridgewood Community.
