There was a wonderfully successful Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 14. Nearly 3,000 magic wands were handed out to guests and the many who joined us to light our tree. There was entertainment and prizes, a few VERY SHORT speeches by local dignitaries, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus and then of course our Tree Lighting Ceremony complete with countdown and confetti. Afterwards kids were invited to have milk and cookies with Santa. All in all a nice start to our holiday season. Special Guests included: State Senators, Jose Peralta and Toby Ann Stavisky, Carolyn Tran representing City Council Member Daniel Dromm, and Miss Queens NY, Li Ling Rivera and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus.
