SHERITA DELGADO Licensed Real Estate Broker Rapid Realty, Astoria Sherita Delgado is a real estate broker and multi-unit franchisee with Rapid Realty NYC. Born and raised in Rhode Island, she graduated from Rhode Island College with a degree in computer information systems. Delgado joined Rapid Realty in 2006. She soon distinguished himself as a rental agent, and her winning personality made her a favorite among tenants and landlords alike. She went on to become the company’s lead recruiter, a top trainer, and one of Rapid’s head closers. When Rapid Realty began franchising, Delgado’s wealth of experience made her the prime candidate. In early 2010, she partnered with fellow star agent Silvia Tejeda to open Rapid Realty’s Astoria franchise, the company’s fi rst in Queens. It was so successful that the duo opened a second franchise less than a year later in Midwood, Brooklyn. The Astoria offi ce won an award for being one of Rapid Realty’s top fi ve producers in 2012. Delgado herself has received multiple company awards, including one recognizing her commitment to helping others, whether as a trainer or through her ongoing involvement in community service. In 2012, Delgado became one of Rapid Realty’s fi rst area developers, and is now helping the company expand outside New York. SUSAN AGIN Executive and Artistic Director Queensborough Performing Arts Center (QPAC) Susan Agin is the executive and artistic director for the Queensborough Performing Arts Center (QPAC) located on the Queensborough Community College campus. Agin is a CUNY alumnus, having received her BA and MS Degrees from Queens College. She is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association, The Josephine Foundation, The Association of Performing Arts Presenters and received Cantorial Investiture from the Division of Sacred Music of The Rabbinical Academy in Woodmere, NY. Before joining QPAC, Agin developed the fi rst dance/exercise program for The Renfrew Center, a clinic for eating disorders, created a special interest dance program for the children of the Central Park East II School in Harlem and held the position of performing arts director at Flushing Town Hall. She is committed to expanding public access to the arts for everyone and, in response to a distinct lack of options, created The Senior Loyalty Program, the afterschool Broadway workshops, sign-interpreted performances and programs for the deaf and hard of hearing, Saturday Night Movie Singalong Series and the fi rst-ever Children’s Book Club and Performance Series. While attracting the best talent, Agin has made sure that QPAC remains an economical entertainment choice and that there be a tremendous variety in QPAC’s programming so that all the diverse populations of Queens and the college are represented. Since its establishment in 1965, the Queensborough Performing Arts Center has been a cultural beacon for the community serving more than 95,000 visitors annually through world-class performances and student learning activities. Agin serves as a mentor and liaison to individual artists and arts organizations who are seeking career advice and support. She has been honored by Transitional Services for New York for her dedication and years of service to the Queens community and was recognized with a proclamation by the City Council as an “Unsung Heroine” for her extraordinary accomplishments.
