Gina is a native of Long Island, growing up
in Holbrook with her parents and sister. Gina
currently resides in Port Washington for
over 30 years with her husband, Anthony
and children, Anthony and Christina and
Apollo the dog.
Gina graduated with a bachelor’s degree in
Psychology, in 1989 from St. Joseph’s College
located in Patchogue. Gina attended the
school of Social Work at Adelphi University
located in Garden City and graduated in
May 1993 with a Master’s degree in social
work. In September 1993, she completed

Chief Human Resource Officer
Stacie Caplan is the Chief Human Resources Officer
for the Gurwin Healthcare System. A University of
Michigan alumna, she earned her Master’s degree
in Industrial Labor Relations from Baruch College,
and has spent more than 23 years in the human
resources field.
During the pandemic, she was instrumental in
pivoting her team’s focus to ensure not only that
there was adequate staffing to care for residents
across Gurwin’s continuum, but also that the unique
needs of the staff and their families were being met.
She lives in Dix Hills with her husband, Steven and
their boys.
DR. KIMBERLY CLINE
Long Island University (LIU)
President
Dr. Kimberly R. Cline is the 10th president of Long
Island University (LIU), one of the most comprehensive
private universities in the country.
A recognized leader in education, Dr. Cline has been
recognized by the Long Island Press Power List of
the 50 most influential people on Long Island, was
named to the inaugural Long Island Power 50 by
City and State, and was named one of Brooklyn’s
Women of Distinction.
Dr. Cline is a past chair of the Board of Trustees of
the Council of Independent Colleges and Universities
and a past member of the Center for Creative Leadership
board. She currently serves as Chair of the
Long Island Regional Advisory Council on Higher
Education (LIRACHE) and as a board member of the
Long Island Association.
KAREN CASAVECCHIA

Vice President
Karen Casavecchia is a Vice President at Flushing
Bank and is currently the Manager of the Islandia
Branch. Karen joined Flushing Bank in 2015. Prior
to joining Flushing Bank, she was a Branch Manager
at Capital One and a Business Banking relationship
manager at Citibank. Karen has been in banking
for more than thirty-four years, primarily on Long
Island.
Karen is active in the not-for-profit sector previously
serving on the boards of Mercy First and Go Red
for Women.
MICHELE COHEN
Boces Adult Education
Principal
As Principal of Nassau BOCES Adult Education since
2017, Michele Cohen integrates programs reaching
3,500 students from Pre-K to adults annually.
Cohen’s industry and education partners are vital to
establishing programs meeting workforce needs. She
manages Employee Training Solutions, the corporate
training program within Adult Education, and solicits
companies needing training and trainers.
Cohen holds an Advanced Certificate in School District
Leadership from Baruch College; a Master’s in
Education, School Administration from Columbia
University’s Teachers College; a Master's in Secondary
Education from Mercy College; and a Bachelor’s
in Business Administration from Hofstra University.
She is working on her Ed.D.in Systems Leadership
from Russell Sage College.
EMILY CATALDO
Saverio's Pizza Napoletana
Proprietor
Emily Cataldo is the owner of Saverio's in Massapequa.
As a young girl, she grew up in the family
business, A&S Pork Store, and watched her dad work
endless hours to build a successful business. Her passion
for the business led to the opening of Saverio's.
Together with her husband, Saverio, they introduced
authentic pizza Napoletana to Long Island. As the
business grew, Cataldo became more involved with
marketing and networking.
In 2020, Depequa Pizza was introduced to their
guests. It is their version of Detroit Pizza! Cataldo’s
vision for the upcoming year is to grow the Depequa
Brand. Her message to other women would be, “you
are never too old to learn!”

Elegant Affairs Caterers
Company President
Andrea Correale's Elegant Affairs is known as the
go-to caterer on Long Island's Gold Coast, in Manhattan,
and the Hamptons. Andrea's passion is to
inspire people to entertain at home with style and
ease. Andrea started Elegant Affairs at age 16 and
today caterers hundreds of events yearly. Andrea's
knowledge and skill set has prompted appearance requests
from Bravo, CBS, and VH1. She contributes to
Hamptons Magazine, 25A magazine and Social Life
Magazine. Andrea will shoot a Food Network pilot
and will open her catering venue in Southampton in
2022. Andrea's keen business sense and enthusiasm
place her on top in the hospitality industry.
