throughout the house, some plastered onto
a bulletin board across the kitchen.
“I think I like keeping those because weddings
are so joyful,” she said. "It's a nice reminder
of both the joy that you share and the
celebration with others as well.”
Also reminiscent of the wedding is an object
that actually never made it in. There’s a
Styrofoam head that deteriorated and lost
its shape when Banks spray-painted it gold.
“Turns out spray-paint chips away at Styrofoam,”
she said. The spray-painted head was
supposed to be a centerpiece option for the
wedding, but when it didn’t come out the
way she planned, Banks placed it on one of
the shelves and kept it there since.
But the house is more than just a tribute to
their wedding.
“It’s eclectic,” Banks said.
At least 50 plants — by Banks’ count — live
under different lights in almost every room of
the apartment.

window in the living room, where they
flourish under plenty of sunlight. Some
