Trinkets from their travels abroad are
nestled in shelving space around the room
as well, from Russia to China, and places
friends have been. They also have pieces
from countries they aspire to go to — with
many items from Africa.
In the kitchen, their love of travel is
even more apparent. The fridge is covered
with an extensive magnet collection
spanning the globe, holding up travel
photos and wedding save-the-dates. On
the opposite wall hangs their impressive
Starbucks mug collection — one from
each city they’ve been.
The kitchen also flaunts the couple’s
crafty side. When they first moved in, there
were exposed and mismatched lightbulbs
in the kitchen and hallway. To make them
uniform, Nelson and Weisner covered the
bulbs with wooden quilting hoops and
