“We just wanted it to be very warm and
colorful,” Nelson said. “We're not people
that are very good with being understated.
We’re very bold in our color choices, which
is why we have blue and purple and red — it
just makes us feel at home.”
The red in the living room is complemented
perfectly with gold accents throughout
the space. A gold mirror that resembles
the sun hangs on the far end of the room
above a wooden dining table set with goldcolored
plates.
As their main entertaining space, this
room is where most of the couple’s “collections”
live. They’re big collectors and display
their work with pride.
Two tall black shelves frame the TV in the
center of the space, holding stacks of board
games — one of their favorite pastimes.
“We’re in a really interesting time where
there’s so many interesting board games
coming out, so we’ve gone a little crazy with
our collection,” Weisner said.
