Whereas prescription medications helped
La Porta get her son’s condition under control,
she also needed some simple skincare
to keep the inflammation at bay. Calling on
coconut oil and shea butter, La Porta created
her own concoction, putting love and positive
intentions in with every stir. Her son’s
skin responded well. La Porta found that she
was able to fill a need, and she wanted to
share the blessing with others.

Lisa La Porta has lived in
Astoria for her entire life.
La Porta is now raising her
family here — two sons, ages
18 and 10. When one of her
boys continuously suffered
from skin flare-ups related to
his eczema, La Porta found
that there were “so many
chemicals in everything”
that was meant to treat his
condition. A lover of natural
remedies and a vegan herself,
La Porta knew that "there
needs to be an affordable,
suffering-free product” to
help deal with this. “It can
be done,” she believed, and
began manifesting a solution.
