 ASDO IS AIRPORT MATCHMAKER
 The Queens Air Services
 Development Office (ASDO)
 held its annual 37th Aviation
 Networking Event in
 early June. Hundreds of current
 and new individuals attended
 and chatted with airport
 companies and airport
 redevelopment agencies with
 the hopes of growing their
 businesses. Program Manager
 Dolores Hofman was excited
 to say that every years
 many new companies succeed
 in achieving this goal
 from this yearly event. Affectionately
 called the Airport
 Matchmaker, Hofman
 calls this a “reverse” trade
 show, where buyers and major
 contractors staff tables,
 while vendors and service
 suppliers visit each company
 to introduce their services.
 They make matches between
 buyers and sellers. AS DO
 serves the industry at John
 F. Kennedy and LaGuardia
 airports and over 1,600local
 vendors. ASDO people can be
found at all the major events
 with the mission to connect
 as many new people with
 good products and services
 to the growing airport community.
