are being offered at the
Broadway location of the Queens
Library. Learn everything you need
to know about American history,
government and culture to pass the
citizenship exam. The class will be

card. The program is 12 weeks long
and students must complete the

Project in order to lend
a hand at their urban farm. From
9 a.m. to noon, volunteers will learn
how composted food scraps nourish
the soil. You will also find out how
to foster a farm ecosystem and grow
healthy crops. Weeding, harvesting,
processing food stamps, planting
activities, building a compost pile or
sifting finishing compost are some
other tasks that may need to be
helped with. Volunteers must be 16
