A weekend of culture, cuisine and

More than 10,000 people over two days
enjoyed a weekend of fi ne food and music
during the inaugural World’s Fare at Citi
Field.
Guests enjoyed dishes prepared by more
than 100 vendors representing cuisine
from every corner of the globe. Th e international
array of delicacies was assembled
through an all-star team of culinary curators
that included renowned chef
Claus Meyer, journalist
Jessica Harris and food
expert KF Seetoh.
Along with getting
a taste of the
world, patrons
also enjoyed
music and
dancing on two
diff erent stages
throughout
each day. Bands
walked around
intermittently
throughout the day
performing live music
for attendees.
Th ere were also sumo wrestling
demonstrations featuring Yama,
who at well over 600 pounds is considered
the largest athlete in the sport today.
Th e wrestlers also invited some of the
spectators into the ring with them for
impromptu “matches.”
Adult guests also sampled some amazing
brews in the World’s Fare’s international
beer garden, which showcased 80
craft beers from 45 diff erent breweries.
