(May 18, 2016) - Aye, Matey, it’s time for some Pirates Revenge! Two years ago Land of Make Believe and its Pirate Themed Waterpark unveiled the Pirate’s Escape water slide to much excitement. Now it’s double the adventure as the high seas saga continues with Pirate’s Revenge. It’s one thing to escape the Pirates, it’s another to think you are safe and suddenly you have the Pirates hard on your heels as they seek revenge by beating your “Escape”! This all plays out at Land of Make Believe in a race against time! All the while having all the fun imaginable. The complementing body slides allow riders to race to the bottom, against the Pirates and your friends, creating a fun, competitive twist on the already popular attraction. The competitors anxiously await the race in their brightly colored tubes – green and pink – until it’s time to go. The race begins with a stomach-dropping thrill when the floor literally falls out from under the riders and ends with a big splash at the bottom. “It doesn’t get any more exciting than this,” says Christopher Maier, owner of Land of Make Believe. “You have a great ride – actually two – side by side ready for the ultimate racing experience.” Blending classics like the Civil War Train, Grand Carousel, Thriller Roller Coaster and talking scarecrow, with the modern like the Pirate’s Peak water slides, Drop ‘n’ Twist and Rockin’ Tug thrill rides, Land of Make Believe is the ultimate amusement park experience for families Mom, Dad & Kids alike. Grand Parents love it too. The 2016 season marks the park’s 62nd Anniversary of entertaining generations of visitors and creating unforgettable memories. Located in Hope Township, the park has remained the region’s most popular family fun destination for over six decades. Generations of families keep coming back: the same grandparents visiting the park with their grandchildren are often continuing a tradition from their own childhoods. The park has been familyowned since day one. An educator specifically designed Land of Make Believe so parents and children could participate together. It was the first park with this objective in mind, preceding Disneyland by one year.a Land of Make Believe opens for the season Memorial Day Weekend, then is daily through Labor Day Weekend. For more information about the park visit www.LOMB.com or call (908) 459-9000. Be sure to LIKE the Land of Make Believe on Facebook page, too.
