BY JUSTIN ALVAREZ editorial@qns.com/@QNS Two New York city zoos, Queens Zoo and Prospect Park Zoo, have launched an educational Quest program that allows youth and family to explore as if they are wildlife conservation scientists. The Wildlife Conservation Society, an organization that seeks to save wildlife and wild places through science, education and conservation action, has the goal of connecting people to nature in a new and exciting way with the guidance of educators. The Queens Zoo is dedicated to animals of North and South America and is designated to have four Quest stations (Outdoor Exploration, a Bird Station, a Sea Lion Station and Farm Fun). Participants are set to receive a Quests map and participate in the stations around the park while sharing their experiences on social media using the hashtag, #wcsquests. According to a WCS press release, the Queens Zoo Quests will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays plus holidays through Labor Day.
