MONDAY, JUNE 24 Astoria Park is hosting its annual waterfront Independence Celebration from 7:30 to 10 p.m. on the sprawling Astoria Park Lawn. THURSDAY, JUNE 27 Curated by Long Island City Artists (LICA), the exhibition “Bridging the Gap” is a celebration of the diversity and creativity present in the many communities of Queens. The exhibition was assembled through an open call to the artists of Queens and is open from noon to 5 p.m. from June 27 until July 14 at Flushing Town Hall, located at 137-35 Northern Boulevard. WARM UP is celebrating its 16th year and is keeping its tradition of introducing audiences to an array of musical styles, such as experimental live music, DJs both local and international, and emerging artists.
